God of Who?

God of who? Is your God my God? I don’t think so. Why do you try and push your God on me? Many religions out there think they have the answers and they don’t, they have nothing, nothing except their own twisted version of what they believe in.

God is Everywhere

They then try and push their God of love… or what they think is their God of love, onto everyone else. Many religions work like multi level marketing. They join the cult, sect, religion or church and one of the first things they are told to do is to find new recruits. Go out and spread the word about our God of love. Make the masses see that they are forsaken unless they sign up to our God of love.

Man, that is like people spam. They spam their bullshit into the minds of illiterate, numb sheep and get their numbers up. They fill the heads of the ignorant with fear of “no eternal life”, all the while collecting cash for their God of love. Modern religions are huge businesses, leading the faithful to slaughter.

The claims of the holy books being written by the divine are laughable. The bible has 33000 documented mistakes about places, times and dates. I suppose God was having a bad day and forget to use his spell checker. Any God that cannot get a fact right, or 33 thousand facts right, is not the God for me. Aside from the violence that the good book preaches about the so called “God of love”.

Now don’t get me wrong, many religious folk are good, honest people who go about their daily lives helping and living the righteouslife. Thats great – that the whole world was like that we would have no problems. But do they need God for that? Do they need religion for that? I would say no. I would say that universal principles of good are enough.

On the other hand, here in Africa, the good book whether it’s the Koran or the Bible, is a great guide to living the righteous life. These books give a guide to following what in many cases’ is a life that causes no harm and also uplifts others. Nothing wrong with this – what gets up my nose is the money that flows from these folk to private coffers – the church, the paster and anyone else in the supply chain of God.

Of course, if that supply of money is threatened, the good books have passages and chapters to deal with this. Killing you neighbour is a time honoured practise if the supply chain is threatened. And this practise is not old, it is happenning right here and now. The God of love is very quick to change to the God of death when it suits his followers – I presume God is a man, and is probably white. I wonder if he has BEE problems in his faith business?

So I say to all the faithful – YOUR GOD OF LOVE IS NOT MY GOD! – and to all the witch doctors – stop fleecing the poor!

Africa mixes up their religions with their culture.. kind of like a “what suits us best” mentality. This not unique to Africa though. The churches don’t mind too much, as long as the money keeps flowing!

Africa has it’s own rules. Get to know the African culture and ways and you will be surprised how much good is there. Granted – there is a whole bunch of crap that we could well do without.
